Hazelden Publishing Mailer
Minnesota’s Hazelden Betty Ford Treatment Center is one of the world’s leading sources of healing and hope for individuals, families and communities affected by addiction. I teamed up with Hazelden Publishing to create a mailer to promote evidence-based programs designed to help children and adolescents avoid alcohol and other drugs. Aimed at educators who would use these materials in schools, I wrote all mailer copy and successfully pitched the idea that kids want to be empowered. Teachers and parents need to equip them with the right skills—to advocate, educate and motivate them—to make their own positive choices when confronted with risky behaviors.
